lyrics
Correlate and connect me to a new state of being
If love's path allows, show me a way to escape
Where are you
In this vast measurement we call time
which is not real
Place us at the moment
You both fell in love
In these darker thoughts
What if there is a different way
To see it all again
What if there's a different way
in correlation
If we go back
To the beach
A ghost just trapped in memory
You'll see
Tragedy will exist on eternity
In my darkest thoughts
What if there is a better way
I'll see you once again
What if there's a better way
Through correlation
While I'm still here - so fucking lost
So confused,
So many questions:
Why were we pulled from that ledge?
Why were we saved from drowning?
How am I here?
Why am I here?
How do I bear down
To keep pushing on before
unlocking the template of your being?
Now I'm holding on to this thought
That there's something else
A strange mystery before us
I'll keep searching for some glory
Implanted deep within
Reaching to a hand from a distance
Take us back to the beach where you both fell in love
Show us what's it's like to be happy
Couch Slut is a rare band in the noise genre. Influenced by Sonic Youth, lo-fi black metal, and other genres, the lead singer screams over fragmented riffs. Amazing work. Jeff Holt
The Australian instrumental band juxtapose classical pianos and ambient swells with uncompromising, proggy post-metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 9, 2023
