lyrics
In a far away open field
Beneath morning sun, free at once
Everything so calm, feel earth move
I hear your call
In this summer daze
Nothing is what it seems
Twilight fears
How could this feeling be real?
Now I know I will never desert you
We're told that all things happen for a reason
Poetic lore which rings true as we take our final breath
Phantom subconscious blackhole
Inhale and transforming grief
At the hand of lament
The grasp grows stronger and stronger
Heartbreak multiplying
Bereavement ever expanding
Stretched out through every dimension
Residual punishment
Character/experience
Built of torment
Stretched out through every dimension
We're told that time will heal our pain
A lore which is true once we take our final breath
Looking back at aeons in the sun
Endless golden slow dream-like youth
I wish I could return home to you
Healthy and pure
Season's pass
Nothing is what it seems
I will never be the same
I now float
So eerily close to the abyss
Return to times before anguish
I've been changing like a season
with surreal transportation through cautiously peculiar lapsed memories
I've been seeking for a lesson
in all of this deliberately beautiful and capriciously designed chaos
Couch Slut is a rare band in the noise genre. Influenced by Sonic Youth, lo-fi black metal, and other genres, the lead singer screams over fragmented riffs. Amazing work. Jeff Holt
The Australian instrumental band juxtapose classical pianos and ambient swells with uncompromising, proggy post-metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 9, 2023
