lyrics
Unaware and naive
Determined to love
Written to nurture
A hope for a future
Now it's all gone
Please forgive me
I've been stuck here for awhile
Constructing entropy, from buried deep
Please release me
I'm imprisoned for too long now
Depleting energy, from buried deep
In the furthest coordinates
The dark and the void
In negative space
Lies of a god of regret
Now it's all gone
To segregate understanding and love
and slipping further and further away from what we believe
To compromise compassion and tradition
I'm falling further and further each day
Against this grain
I'm grasping for a hand at a distance
Must depart of this experimental routine
I'm grasping for a hand at a distance
Break this endless loop of disappointment
Correlate and connect me to a state of true being
If love's path departs us from infinite purgatory,

Couch Slut is a rare band in the noise genre. Influenced by Sonic Youth, lo-fi black metal, and other genres, the lead singer screams over fragmented riffs. Amazing work. Jeff Holt
The Australian instrumental band juxtapose classical pianos and ambient swells with uncompromising, proggy post-metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 9, 2023
