lyrics
Weaving in and weaving out
Through a multiverse of agony
When we make our ascent to reach the cut - the edge, the end
Seeking for some solace in knowing what comes next
Last chance to see
It's our last chance to feel something again
Come fall with me into this rabbit hole
For All that we know
Blood cell written code
Chaotic and complex
Bathe the mind in faux reality
Multiversal agony
Threaded into eternity
In suffering, we look out to find meaning
To merge these bonds from away from here
Then we'll see that this pain was for nothing
And life itself is just a dream of someone else
The clarity to how we perceive our
memories - distort and fade -
Simultaneously
Our most precious sentimental
artifacts slip and weave
Into a mirrored realm
Heirlooms connected through a web of nostalgia
bound by streams
of parallel consciousness
Hold on longer
Keep seeking shelter
Desperate for knowledge
Hold on longer
Fall down further
Hold on, suffer, and struggle
For one more profound day
And who’s to know that there’s no further continuum
A place of pure imagination and ecstasy
These finally moments of consciousness, a new lifetime
Hold on - suffer, struggle, fall down deeper one more profound day
In suffering, we look out to find meaning
To merge these bonds from a
realm away from here
Then we'll see all this pain was for nothing
And life itself is just a dream of
someone else

Couch Slut is a rare band in the noise genre. Influenced by Sonic Youth, lo-fi black metal, and other genres, the lead singer screams over fragmented riffs. Amazing work. Jeff Holt
The Australian instrumental band juxtapose classical pianos and ambient swells with uncompromising, proggy post-metal. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 9, 2023
